Vol 1.

soul.food

This series is dedicated to my ‘cooked food babies’. The ones that grew up smelling deliciousness coming out of the kitchen. The ones that learned to cook in the kitchen with mom, dad, auntie, grams, or pops. No recipes or measuring cups, just cooking until the ancestors told you to stop.

I grew up around a full dinner table with family and good ol’ Dominican soul food. My love of food started with Sunday dinners, but has translated to a love language. There is something special and intimate about sharing your casa, your cooking, your mesa, and a delicious meal with family and friends.

Good food is a universal language that transcends backgrounds and cultures. Check out some of my favorite dishes and recipes.
